We offer a small classroom experience for learning the computer. The Friends of the Library generously purchased 6 lap top computers for our classes. Thank you Friends!!! Classes are offered from September thru May and are geared for the beginning learner.

Introduction to Computers
Welcome to the world of computers! This is a basic introductory class for people with limited or no experience with using the computer. Learn to use the mouse, windows, scroll bars, toolbars and links. Discover how to open, close, move and resize a window.

Internet Searching: Google & Beyond
An introduction to the World Wide Web. Learn to navigate using search engines and directories, and how to evaluate websites. A closer look at the world of Google, learn the shortcuts. Discover helpful, informative & entertaining web sites.
Email Basics
New to email? Need an introduction? You will set up a free email account using Gmail. Learn how to sign in, open your emails, compose and send mail, add an attachment and set up your address book.
Word 2007
A powerful word processor designed by Microsoft. Learn how to create, open and close a document. Do you know the difference between save and save as? Learn basic editing such as selecting (highlighting), cut, copy and paste. Learn how to insert a graphic, work with templates and where to go for help.

Presentation software that allows you to create slides, handouts, notes and outlines. A Microsoft product for producing the slide shows that can incorporate text, graphics, video, animations...Learn the basics.
