Join us to play the popular video game against other teens on a huge screen!  We’ll provide snacks and refreshments.  Rock on!  Pre-registration is required.

TAG, you’re it!  Teen Advisory Group Meeting—for 6th-12th graders

TAG members play an important role in planning teen library activities and selecting teen materials.  It’s never too late to join.  No registration is required.

Dress up to join us for this Japanese-style costume party.  We’ll have games, music, and plenty of food and refreshments.  We’ll also give out prizes for the best costumes. Pre-registration is required.

 

Teens Read Book Discussion Group—for 6th-12th graders

Tuesday, June 17—7-8 PM in the Peter Rabbit Garden

Bring a book of your choice to discuss during this unique book group meeting.  It’s all about YOU book-talking your favorite books to other teens.  No genre is off limits! We’ll be meeting in the Peter Rabbit Garden in front of the library for a picnic-style discussion group.  Pre-registration is required.

 

BRING IT!  Think Outside the Box—for 8th-12th graders

        This month’s topic: Do your rights to privacy change when you go to school?

This month’s topic: Less money is given to women’s sports teams than to men’s in most schools.

Are you tired of being told what to think?  Join us to voice your opinion as we take on hot issues @ your local public library.  It’s your world too!  Pre-registration is required.

 

 Fantastical Book Group—for 6th-12th graders

Tuesday, July 22—7-8 PM in the Peter Rabbit Garden

We’ll be discussing Pete Hautman’s “Rash,” the Michigan Library Association’s 2007 Thumb’s Up! Award Winner.  The first eight teens to register will get a copy of the book—to keep!  Space is limited.  We’ll be meeting in the Peter Rabbit Garden in front of the library for a picnic-style discussion group.  Pre-registration is required.

 

 YouTube party—for 6th-12th graders

Friday, August 8—7-9 PM in the Meeting Room

Send your favorite YouTube videos to indeteens@yahoo.com for a chance to see them played at our party.  We’ll watch and vote for videos over plenty of snacks and refreshments.  We’ll have a prize for the teen who submitted the best video.  Pre-registration is required.
